Vikings release TE Allen Reisner

Posted on December 23, 2012 in Uncategorized

The Minnesota Vikings have released their 4th string Tight End Allen Reisner in an attempt to make room on the roster for another player.

In order to activate CB Chris Cook, Reisner fell victim to the roster limit and will now attempt to clear waivers. In all likelihood, the Vikings will once again sign Reisner to their Practice Squad if that happens. Minnesota is still currently in the playoff hunt and Reisner has proven his ability when given the chance.

After being active for the first three games of the season, Reisner had no stats while mostly playing Special Teams before being released and signed to the Practice Squad. He was then activated for the Week 9 game against the Seattle Seahawks where he recorded his first & only catch of the season for 13 yards.
