Leslie transferred to Iowa from Indian Hills Community College and immediately took over the point guard position for the next two seasons for the Hawkeyes. His quickness and ball-handling ability were a staple for the Hawkeyes while he was there. After his collegiate career ended, Leslie went overseas and split the 2003-04 season between a team in Austria and a team in Germany. The next season, he spent some time in France, but only played in 19 games. In 2005-06, Leslie headed to Germany to play for BS Energy Braunschweig. It was a short stay in Germany as the following season, he played for BC Lami-Ved Kormend in Hungary and enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career. Eurobasket.com named Leslie to the Hungarian League All-Defensive Team, All-Hungarian League First Team and was named the All-Hungarian League Guard of the Year for 2007. The following season, he signed with Al Karameh in Syria before leaving for Sporting which is in the Egypt Superleague. In the 2008-09 season, Leslie started with An Nahl Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. He left briefly to play in the Egypt Superleague again, but returned to his UAE team later in the season. For the 2009-10 season, Leslie moved to another team in the UAE, An Nasr and was part of their starting five. In May, he joined An Nahl Sharjah and started for them as well. He then went to Al Rayyan in March of the 2011 season and started for their team that finished runner-up in their league but would go on to win the league championship. He averaged 19.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game in the Asian Club Championships. His season started up again in Qatar on January 14th and once again Leslie was among the starting five. He helped lead his team to a regular season title and they claimed the Gulf Club Championships. For the 2012-13 season, Leslie remained in Qatar and started playing with the Qatar Sports Club Doha in November.
