DT Mitch King joins Houston Texans in camp

Last season with the Saints, Mitch King played in three games before being released and signed to the Practice Squad. His final opponent during the 2011 season was the Houston Texans. King will now join the Texans camp and try to make their roster for the upcoming season.
The former Hawkeye Defensive Tackle has bounced around the NFL for three seasons after going undrafted following his Senior season at Iowa where he was the Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year. The Texans will be the the fifth team on his young resume. His only game action in the League has come over seven games split between the Indianapolis Colts and the Saints.
King also dealt with a heart condition a year ago while battling for a roster spot in Saints camp, although after fighting through it, his results were still worthy of a spot on the team after the injury was not thought to be a deterrent moving forward.
