Another Spring and another stint in Puerto Rico for Kurt Looby. This time around, he has signed with Vaqueros de Bayamon. They are the third Puerto Rican team Looby will play for over the course of 4 years.
The former Hawkeye Center just finished playing his season in Germany with EnBW Ludwigsburg. After 34 games, Looby averaged 7.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game for the German squad. He also added 1.6 blocks per game which was good for 4th best in the league.
Looby started his professional career in the D-League in 2008 after being drafted in the 3rd Round before detouring to Puerto Rico. Following that, he participated in the NBA Summer League before once again returning to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the D-League. Following that season he returned to Puerto Rico and once again followed that up with the NBA Summer League. In 2010-2011, Looby headed overseas and played in Greece. He remained in Europe for this most recent season, this time playing in Germany before this signing.
