Newly hired Arizona Cardinals Head Coach Bruce Arians began the process of putting his staff together. One of the first additions was made when he tabbed Tom Moore as his Assistant Head Coach in charge of Offense.
Moore, a 34 year NFL coaching veteran, spent last season as an Offensive Consultant with the Tennessee Titans after a season holding the same title with the New York Jets in 2011. However, Moore gained notoriety during a 12 year stint with the Indianapolis Colts. He took over as Offensive Coordinator in 1998 and eventually was promoted to Senior Offensive Coordinator during the Peyton Manning era with the Colts.
Despite Moore’s desire to still be an Offensive Coordinator, Arians will be calling the plays and Harold Goodwin was hired to fill the OC role. The 74 year old Moore, will provide his extensive knowledge to a team in desperate need of their impending face lift, specifically on offense. “I am still young by my standards, so I can do it. I’m a young 74,” he said. “You have to do something worthwhile in your life, and I feel I have some things to offer.”
